IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Oroville Concert Association (OCA) has officially concluded its 2024-2025 concert season. With a mix of gratitude and sadness, we announce that after 71 incredible years, and over 350 performances, OCA is bringing this cherished chapter to a close. This decision comes due to declining participation and economic challenges, which have made it increasingly difficult to continue our mission.
Founded in 1953, OCA was the vision of a group of civic-minded individuals who wanted to bring world-class artists to the Oroville community. Our mission has always been to provide access to the arts and to enrich the cultural fabric of our area. As we reflect on our years of service, we are proud of the positive impact we’ve had in bringing live performances at affordable pricing to local residents.
One of our greatest accomplishments has been the Student Concert Series. Almost every artist that performed for OCA also gave a morning student concert, at no charge to local schools and students. Funded entirely by OCA and our corporate partners, this initiative offered many children their first—often their only—introduction to live, professional entertainment. We are deeply proud of this program and the doors it opened for the young people in our community.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our members, donors, and corporate partners who have supported us over the years. Your generosity has helped make this organization thrive and continue to make a difference in the lives of many. While OCA’s official chapter is closing, we hope you will continue to support the arts, and especially the performing arts, in our community. The need for cultural enrichment is more vital than ever, and your ongoing support helps ensure that the spirit of the arts lives on.
It has been our pleasure to serve you.
